Thompson - 990915-1
One of kind, 1928A1 Savage Thompson Sub-Machine Gun from the movie "Dick Tracy". Purchased from Stembridge Gun Rentals in 1999, this weapon is a live fire WWII Savage Thompson with a blank firing adaptor installed in the tip of the barrel. It is secured in place by the "Cutts" compensator and may be easily removed, if so desired. It has been left untouched and in the exact configuration that it was in, while on the movie set. Overall, the weapon is in good condition, although the wood has it's fair share of dings from actor use. WWII wood, finned barrel, Lyman rear sight, nickel plated bolt, early selector switches and knurled actuator knob. Obviously, much of the value is in it’s provenance. Original bill of sale from Stembridge Gun Rentals will go to the new owner.
