Vickers - 980922-6
This is one of the very rare Vickers MK1's built for the
Turkish Army in 7.92mm, by Crayford Arms in England. It was
rebuilt by Charles Erb before the May 19, 1986 machine gun
ban. This weapon has the smooth water jacket design. It
looks as if the very end of the muzzle cap might be missing.
On the other hand, it may have been removed after the
caliber change. The cork that hold the water in the jacket
also needs to be replaced. Outside of those two things, it
looks to be in very good condition. A beautiful and
functional piece of history.
