Short Barrel Weapons / AOW's - 260118-5One of just a couple of semi-auto Short Barrel Rifles that were manufactured by Tim LaFrance of LaFrance Specialties in the M16K configuration. This is the smallest of the M16 variants. Designed to be carried in confined spaces, such as helicopters, tanks, etc., it offers a tremendous firepower in a small package. The story I got on these was that they were made for the M60 door gunners as a back up weapon. Overall condition is excellent, with a little a mar or two here and there. A vortex flash suppressor completely eliminates any trace of muzzle flash. This one of the last of two LaFrance weapons that I set aside in my private collection over the years. I was told many years ago that only about 50 of these were built in full auto, 2 in semi. This is one of the two semi short barrel rifles. |
