M3 - 290205-1
A difficult to find original US GI M3A1 Grease Gun manufactured by the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors during WWII. First built in 1944, only about 50,000 of these weapons were manufactured by Ithaca and the General Motors Guide Lamp Division. This weapon was the modified version of the standard M3 Grease Gun. The most notable modification being the elimination of the cocking handle from the right side of the receiver tube. It was replace a by machining a thumb hole cocking slot in the top section of the bolt assembly. This weapon was professional reworked by Stan Andrewski some years back and all parts look to be original correct GI issue to the best of my knowledge. Very few M3A1’s seem to have been properly registered, making this a very rare collectable piece of WWII memorabilia. This weapon is on the C&R List.
