M3 - 260118-17A hard to find US GI M3 Grease Gun manufactured by the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors. About 600,000 of these weapons were manufactured during WWII, however very few seem to have been properly registered. It looks to have been arsenal refinished at some time and could use a good oil job. The parts all look to be US GI, including the felt around the dust cover which is pretty dry. Any orange color around this felt area in the jpeg’s, is glue not rust. Test fired only, maybe unfired. This weapon is on the C&R list. A very nice collectable piece of WWII memorabilia. |
