M3 - 260118-18
A very rare transferable M3A1 Grease Gun manufactured by the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors during WWII. Only about 50,000 M3A1 Grease Guns were built compared to approximately 600,000 M3's. Ithaca manufactured a hand full A1's as well. The weapon looks to have been arsenal refinished at some as have almost all that I have seen. The jpeg's really do not do this weapon justice. It is very dry, almost powdery, but I have decided to leave it as I received it. A nice drenching in oil will make this thing look like it just came off the production line. The orange color around the felt on the dust cover is glue, not rust. Looks like it has some M3 parts on it, but that can be easily corrected. This weapon is on the C&R list.
