M16 - 101115-18
This very rare M16K was manufactured by Tim LaFrance of LaFrance Specialties, San Diego, California. This is the smallest of the M16 variants. Designed to be carried in confined spaces, such as helicopters, tanks, etc., it offers a tremendous firepower in a small package. Overall condition is excellent, with a little finish missing off the right hand side of the charging handle and a mar or two here and there. These weapons were designed to give the weapon a cycle rate of under 600 rounds per minute. Unusual for a weapon of this caliber and size. A vortex flash suppressor completely eliminates any trace of muzzle flash. This one of the last of two LaFrance weapons that I set aside in my private collection over the years. I was told many years ago that only about a dozen of these were built in full auto, 2 in semi.
