BAR 1918 - 970523-1An excellent example of a 1918 Commercial Browning Automatic Rifle. Finish is excellent, but it looks like someone has been rubbing it down pretty hard. Checkered fore grip is “minty” and the walnut butt stock it excellent as well, with the exception of a very small hairline crack on the left side. Typical of all wood stocked BAR's. Flaming bomb and armorers mark on the top of the receiver. Barrel is marked 11-18 (November 1918) and "M", with the flaming bomb just above the date. Overall a very nice weapon and it comes with a very rare original canvas carry case, marked and dated October 1918, Progressive Manufacturing. |
